STORY
Where Rembrandt is flaunting his garments, He-Man is flexing his plastic muscles. Rembrandt, in turn, borrowed this composition from Titian. I find the bright cadmium yellow of the plastic hair an interesting addition, since Rembrandt didn't have access to this paint. It makes for a strong contrast with Rembrandt's original.
